The concept
for our exposed heavy timber truss jobs starts with a conversation
between an architect and their client. The customer might say, "I
want to see nice wooden trusses that complement my dining room." Or
the architect might suggest trusses if their client is going for a
certain "wow factor". Structural Wood Products' work goes
into a wide variety of buildings, but exposed heavy timber trusses
usually go above rooms with high ceilings and wide open floor plans.
Examples include living rooms, walk ways, gymnasiums, club houses,
ski lodges, swimming pool covers, restaurants, bars, etc. . . Once
an architect determines that a customer wants exposed trusses, he
or she might sketch what the trusses should look like. Below is a
sketch of the Blue Ash Bistro truss that an architect could have drawn
for their client.
